Hatter's Tea Party

If there was ever a man to inspire you to take up millinery, Stephen Jones is he. Although a couple of months ago now (the summer's activities have allowed very little time for blogging), tea at The Dorchester with the milliner of the moment was certainly one of the highlights of the earlier part of this year, especially considering he had designed it himself in a partnership with Coworth Park pastry chef Simon Jenkins.

EDIBLE beautiful hats... there was no way we could resist...

Afternoon Delights

There seem to have been a fair amount of food related posts recently, but I just had to share the gorgeous Lola cupcakes we've been treated to in the office this afternoon...

Pigging Out

Recommendation of the week has got to go to The English Pig, which has recently set up base 5 minutes from Parliament Square after leaving its original home in Barbican. Hidden behind the doors of 4 Millbank, the restaurant's new home - The Atrium - is spacious, bright and airy with slow-roasted pork belly to die for. Pork pate, shoulder of pork and pigs ears are some of the other pig based offerings.

And a post-pig walk passed the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben illuminated at night was a lovely way to close a thoroughly British evening.

SCREAM SOLD

Bit late with this, but flabbergasted by Munch's The Scream fetching $119.9m (£74m) at auction at Sotheby's in The States...

Love from Itsu

A box of Itsu joy awaited me at work this morning, much to the delight of my surrounding Vogue Housers (without a doubt Itsu's most loyal customers thanks to the shop on our doorstep). We're very excited to tuck into these later.
Thank you Itsu x

SCREAM

Today is the last day Edvard Munch's iconic Scream is housed at Sotheby's before being shipped to New York to go under the hammer on May 2nd, where it's expected to fetch between £50-80 million.

Surrounded by darkness and security guards, you do get the feeling of being in the presence of something quite special - with it's oxymoronic background of soothing waves and flowing colours, forefronted by the distressed figure that is the scream. Excited to see what it goes for x

What Twitter says in words, Pinterest answers in pictures. Let’s just hope the copyright debate doesn’t blockade the way of proud Pinners.
